We love visiting Hershey, PA, the small town feel and beautiful drive make it a must visit. The first few times we visited Hershey’s Chocolate World we took the Free History of Chocolate Tour.

In early spring 2016 we took a trip to Hershey as we walked to the Free Tour a sign informed us that the ride was under construction. Instead of the Chocolate Tour they had a 3-D movie about the history of chocolate.

The New Chocolate Tour

This fall we went back to Hershey to try the New Free Chocolate Tour. The tour has new more techie displays and now includes photos being taken throughout the ride.

At the end of the ride you will be met by an employee with pictures of you from the ride in a special Hershey’s book. We decided not to get the book because we know we will visit Hershey again.

The book seemed a little over priced to me, but if this is a once in a lifetime trip it might be worth it to you. Personally, I would take the money and spend it on creating a custom Chocolate Bar!

At Hershey’s Chocolate World, there are a lot of different things to do. We have taken the Hershey’s Chocolate Tour as mentioned above. As well as done the create your own candy bar and the Chocolate Tasting Experience.

We have not yet seen the 4D Chocolate Mystery or ridden on the Hershey Trolley Works.

If you’re looking for some unique Hershey treats you will most likely find something you like in the gift shop. There are tons of different candies and treats. We loved the huge Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!
