Recently I started taking our little man to story time at the library. They have a story time for babies 0-18 months and the little man loves it. It’s hard to keep him still while they read the story, but he loves the books, music and other activities they do. He also loves the other kids.

After the stories, they pull out toys for the kids to play with and he loves it. I was a little worried about how he would do with other kids. But he was so cute. He would be playing with a toy and another baby would take it from him and he would just smile at them and crawl over to another toy. It’s adorable!

I also love how much the little guy loves books. It makes my heart happy. I have always wanted my kids to love books as much as I do and if this keeps up (fingers crossed), I will definitely have a reader on my hands. After story time, each week we get new books to read. This week we checked out 17 books.

This Weeks Library Books –

Some of our favorite library books (the ones we read over and over) this week are:

If You See a Cow this is a lift the flap book. It’s a really simple and quick read. The book goes through different animals and if you see them make a sound. It’s a great book for babies and young children. It teaches animal sounds and kids have a blast lifting the flap and finding the hiding animal.

Llama Llama Sand and Sun is a touch and feel book. It has a different texture on each page. The story is very simple, but my little man loves it. He loves the bright pages and the textures.

I love the book Good Night Gorilla – it’s adorable! The photos are cute and though the story contains few words its one you will want to read again and again (at least we do!)

We also really liked the books:

When a Grandpa Says “I Love You” and When a Dad Says “I Love You”by Douglas Wood

Fancy Nancy and the Wedding of the Century and Fancy Nancy: Stellar Stargazer! by Jane O’Connor

These books are really cute, our little guy just isn’t at the stage he sits still for long enough to read longer stories. I still love getting a few of the longer books, we just tend to only read them once. When he is a little older we will definitely have to get these books again.

What books did you read this week?
