Today I want to share our goals for November.

No Spend November

We have decided for the first 14 days of November we can’t spend any money. With the exceptions of rent/utilities and bills. We are going to purchase the fresh groceries we need the end of October and then no groceries until November 15. (The only exception for groceries is if we need a basic staple, but that is it!)

$40 – or One Tank of Gas

For November we are going to try and only spend $40 on gas. That’s about one tank for the van. This means we will not be doing a lot of day trips or drives. We usually have $100 budgeted for gas, so we will see how this month goes.

Cutting back on Groceries

Our Grocery budget can get out of control sometimes, ok most of the time. This month we are really going to try and keep it under control.

Last month we stocked up on a bunch of our family’s staple dry/canned foods. Hopefully, this will allow us to be able to cut our grocery budget back for the next couple of months.

Our grocery budget for November is $300. We are going to take out the cash and try using only cash.

I’m really excited about this, I know that probably sounds crazy. But with Thanksgiving, it’s going to be a fun challenge to keep the grocery budget under control. Especially because Thanksgiving is an easy time to let the food take over!

What are your November goals?

Let me know in the comments and we can keep encouraging each other!
