Swimming Shark Activity

To finish our study of sharks we did a fun shark swimming game. This is a fun and simple activity that the kids will love.

To do this activity you will need:

  • Foil
  • Expo markers
  • Water
  • Straws

First, fold the foil to make a foil pan with edges so it can hold a small amount of water. Next, draw a shark.

The more artistic skill you have the better your shark will turn out. If you’re like me and lack the drawing skill a simple shark totally works.

For our shark races, we decided to race to see who could “eat” a fish first. So we also drew a fish in a different color.

After you’re done drawing gently pour cool water over your shark until there is a thin layer of water from your shark to your fish.Using your straw gently blow the edges of your shark to get him floating.

Using your straw blow the fish over to cover the fish. First-person to “eat” their fish wins!
