There are just so many things to love about Chick-fil-A it’s hard to stay away especially because you know the kids love it and mom loves it. Honestly, it’s hard to find a restaurant that we are all in agreement about eating at.

While yes we do love Chick-fil-A and eat there more often than we should probably admit we needed to save money. One of the ways we decided to cut back our expenses to help us get out of debt and start saving money is by cutting back on our fast food/ restaurant expenses.

10 Easy Ways to Save Money at Chick-Fil-A. We love eating at Chick-fil-A but it can get expensive, use these tips to save money when your eating out.

I would love to say we are really good at not eating out but that would be a lie. So instead I’ll be honest with you we try to eat out less often, but we still end up eating out a few times a month. So we have found some easy ways to save money when we do eat out.

How to Save Money at Chick-fil-A

As I mentioned above we love Chick-fil-A so I needed to find a way to save money when we end up eating at Chick-fil-A which we know will happen at least a few times each month.

If you’re like me and trying to save money but still be able to eat out every once in a while you’re going to love these simple ways to save money at Chick-fil-A

1. Get the Chick-fil-A App

If you only do one thing on this list get the Chick-fil-A app and join Chick-fil-A One. Use the app to earn points with every purchase and redeem those points for available rewards of your choice, in other words, free food.

Just by having the app I frequently get offers for free food just because. Sometimes the rewards are for a specific location (from a specific store manager) and others work at any location.

This summer when they started the BBQ chicken sandwich I got an offer for a free sandwich and just today I got a National Giveaway offer with 2 different food options I could choose from.

2. Enjoy a Birthday Freebie

When you sign up for the Chick-fil-A One rewards program you will get a coupon for a free cookie on your birthday.

3. Get the 30 Count Nuggets

Did you know that you can get a 30 count box of nuggets? That’s right you can and you can even get it as a meal.

We have found for our family of 4 we can get a large 30 count nugget meal and an additional large fry and it’s plenty of food for our family and it costs about $20. We have also just ordered the nuggets without the meal or extra fries and it’s even cheaper.

4. Follow your local Chick-fil-A on Facebook

You can follow the Official Chick-fil-A page on Facebook but you should definitely follow your local restaurant pages too.

You’re more likely to find Chick-fil-A deals on the local pages because each location is individually operated and managed.

For example, some of the deals I have seen on local Chick-fil-A Facebook pages include:

  • Free small peppermint Milkshakes with purchase of an entree (Maryland)
  • BOGO 30 ct Nuggets (Florida)
  • Purchase a 30 ct Nugget and get 2 large fries free (Florida)

These offers are location specific and to get the deal you typically just have to mention seeing the offer on the Facebook page.

5. Stock up on Chick-fil-A Sauce

Whenever we eat at Chick-fil-A we always ask for one or two extra Chick-fil-A sauces, they are free and we keep a stash of a few sauces in the car and at home just in case.

There have been a few times when the kids really want to go to Chick-fil-A and it’s just not going to happen so I bake some nuggets at home and give them the extra sauce we have on hand and it works.

6. Dress like a Cow

Cow Appreciation Day is in July each year and its the one day a year when you can get free food at Chick-fil-A for dressing up like a cow.

Everyone wearing a cow costume gets a free chicken sandwich. Cow Appreciation Day is usually during the second week of July. Keep an eye on the Chick-fil-A Facebook pages for the exact date.

7. Fill out the Survey

Check the bottom of your receipt, if your receipt has a survey at the bottom you can get a free sandwich.

Chick-fil-A gives away a free Original Chicken Sandwich when you fill out a survey on the bottom of your receipt. Not all receipts have a survey on the bottom of them though.

8. Get a Year’s Worth of Free Chick-fil-A Meals

Be one of the first 100 customers at a Chick-fil-A grand opening and get a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Meals, which is a total of 52 meals worth about $372.88.

Each grand opening is a little bit different some of them you have to camp outside the restaurant for a night and others you give a day of service. The year’s worth of meals is given on a card with 52 chicken sandwich meals preloaded to it.

We have been lucky enough to get the years worth of free meals twice and it’s awesome. Check the Future Openings page to see if your zip code is eligible for any of the upcoming store openings.

9. Attend Family Events

Most Chick-fil-A restaurants have family-friendly events in-store a few times a year. Some locations even have monthly events. Some family events I have seen in the past include breakfast with Santa, Pirates & Princess Night, and rock painting night to just name a few.

These events typically have games, crafts, and a food deal or freebie.

Some restaurant locations also have other events like a Daddy Daughter Date Night, Homeschool Prom, and princess brunch.

Honestly, it seems like each location has totally different event themes. So if you live close to a few locations you can pick your favorite or attend them all.

10. Skip the Toy

Ok so honestly I really like Chick-fil-A kid’s meal toys. I love that you can get a board book for the 3 and under crowd and honestly I have been impressed with most of their toys two of our favorites were the Usborne Books and the Movie Rental Vouchers.

But if you’re trying to get the most food for the money at most Chick-fil-A locations you can turn in your kid’s toy for ice cream.

11. Chick-fil-A Gift Card Promotions

So while all of these free options are great there are times we just have to pay for that delicious chicken and using gift cards is a great way to save.

Watch Chick-fil-A for special gift card promotions where you get a small amount free when you purchase a gift card. Purchasing gift cards at Sam’s club can save you a couple of dollars as can purchasing them from a gift card discount site like Raise.
