In January we spent a few days in California. Most of our time was spent in San Diego, but after flying across the country we couldn’t resist spending a day at Disneyland. Jared and I were so excited to take our toddler to Disneyland and let him and his sister experience the magic.

We only had one day to spend at Disneyland. But even though the time spent in Disneyland was short it was totally worth it!
10 Reasons to Take Your Toddler to Disneyland
Going to Disneyland with young toddlers and infants may seem like it’s not worth it. But in my opinion, there are so many reasons to go to Disney with young kids.
1. Do It for You
Taking our toddlers to Disneyland was more for Jared and I than it was our kids. The look of wonder in the Little Man’s eyes as he saw the castle and experienced the wonders of Disneyland was amazing.

It was also fun for us to remember our honeymoon in Disneyland. (Almost 5 years ago!!)
2. Meet Characters
Meeting the little man’s favorite Characters was one of the highlights of taking our toddler to Disneyland.

He got to meet some of his favorites including Lightning Mcqueen, ‘Mater and Mickey Mouse. We didn’t think he would remember much about our trip, but he still talks about meeting Mickey Mouse and going on the Monster Ride.

3. Make Memories
For us, our day in Disneyland was a day of memory making. Disney parks are set up to make it easy for families to come together and make memories. We were so lucky we got to spend the day with family. It was so fun to explore with cousins!

Our kids might not remember the day we spent at the park, but Jared and I will always remember the first time we took our kids to Disneyland.
4. Low Cost
Taking toddlers and infants to Disneyland is a lot less expensive, kids under 3 get into the park free. We also found that our kids preferred many of the snacks we brought into the park with us, saving us money on food. We did have to get a few fun treats though!

5. Unplug
I guess just because you’re at Disneyland doesn’t mean you are going to unplug. But it’s a great opportunity to unplug and experience the moment. During our day at Disney, the only times our phones were out was to take pictures and videos.

6. Fun Foods
Disneyland has so many different treats, many of them in fun shapes. One of the little man’s favorite treats was getting popcorn in Cars Land. He thought it was so cool to get food from the Cozy Cone.

7. Activities for the Whole Family
There are a lot of different ways to do Disney. Since both of our kids are young we like to stick together and go on rides we can all enjoy. There were a few rides we took the little man on that Sister was too short for. But other than that Jared and I just enjoyed going on rides with the kids.

As our kids get older I’m sure how we do our day at Disneyland will change. That’s the beauty of Disneyland there is something for everyone, from rides and food to a number of different shows. There are so many different experiences for everyone to enjoy.
8. Parks are Close Together

Disneyland and California Adventure are next to each other making it easy to go between parks. A definite bonus when your kids’ favorite movie characters are in different parks.
9. Stroller Friendly

At Disney, they have thought of everything. There are stroller parking areas all over the park making it easy to use the stroller to get around the parks but not having to worry about it when you want to go on rides.
10. It’s Magical
Last but definitely not least Disneyland is magical. It’s especially magical to young kids. So for our family, it’s an amazing way to experience the magic of childhood! We want to experience the magic as much as possible while the magic is real to our kids.

We had so much fun during our day at Disneyland we can’t wait until our next Disney trip. Let me know in the comments why you love to take your kids to Disneyland!
