I can’t believe how fast this year has gone and to think I was pregnant for almost the whole time! While each month this year has brought challenges, growth and fun memories. September was a very special month as we got to welcome baby number 3 to the family!

So you already know that the highlight of the month was welcoming our new baby boy, but we also had a few other fun things happen during the month.
So let’s get to sharing about the month of September in Numbers! (Don’t worry there will be plenty of baby photos later in the post!)
September in Numbers
I feel like every month this year has gone so fast, some of the days have been long but the months have flown by.

I feel like September went even faster than the other months! But ready or not September is Baby Month!
Last week of Swimming
The first week of September was the last week the pool was open so we spent as much time as possible at the pool. Once the pool closed for the season the kids still asked almost daily to go swimming.

4 Letterboard Updates
We took 4 letterboard photos to keep up with our weekly pregnancy updates. (Now that the baby is here I need to figure out a new weekly letterboard series to do, I guess maybe we will make it a monthly thing.)
3 Weekly Doctor Appointments
The last month of pregnancy seems like it’s filled with doctors’ appointments.
Honestly, I don’t love it when appointments are weekly it feels like I’m spending way too much time at the doctor’s office, but it’s worth it for a healthy baby.

1 Day at Knoebels
The beginning of September we decided to spend a day at Knoebels in Pennsylvania and I’m so glad we did.
It was a beautiful day with cooler temperatures and we had so much fun. It was the perfect little day trip.
First Batch of Pumpkin Muffins
Pumpkin treats are a favorite at our house and while we have been making pumpkin cookies all year, we made the first batch of pumpkin muffins this year in September.

4 More Weeks of Church at Home
We have been doing church at home since March this year. But in August we were able to attend church a couple of times in person with a small group.
In September we had church at home each week and while I miss gathering with a group at our church meetings. Having these small church meetings at home has been a good experience for our family.

1 Family Hike
We found an awesome trail and took a family hike to look for some bears.(no we didn’t find any)
The trail was beautiful but a very pregnant mom couldn’t go nearly as far as the rest of the family would have liked to. So we will be back to explore again when mom can hake a little farther.
2 Little Helpers Preparing for Baby
September was a big month of preparing for baby and we had the 2 best helpers to get all the things ready.
The kids loved helping put together all the baby things and get everything ready.
1 Covid -19 Test
I never thought that I would have a nasal swab test as one of my pregnancy tests, but let’s just say that being pregnant this year has brought a lot of things I never expected.

1 Scheduled C-Section
To end the month of September I had my 3rd c-section. With my first baby the c-section came as a total surprise. With my second it was scheduled but I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect.
This time around with baby #3 it was nice to have a better idea of what to expect from our scheduled c-section.
1 Brand New Baby Boy
While having a c-section isn’t my favorite experience it was 100% worth it to welcome our new baby boy to the family.
It’s been a while since we had a baby and we are loving all the baby snuggles. It’s also been so fun to watch the two older kids with the new baby.
They love him so much and take such good care of him. While we have had a few hard moments as they adjust, the biggest challenge has been making sure they don’t love on the baby to much.
September has been a very special month for our family and we hope that your month was great too.
