How to Make Your Handprint Turkey
Creating this cute turkey handprint craft is simple and fun:
Materials Needed:
- Washable paint (brown paint for the turkey’s body, orange for the orange beak, and colorful paints for turkey’s feathers)
- Printable handprint turkey poem (printed on cardstock)
- Googly eyes
- Paintbrush
Steps for the Fun Handprint Turkey Poem
Paint the child’s hand each finger with a different color and the palm and thumb brown for the body of the turkey. I let my kids pick which colors they wanted to use.
Press the paint covered hand onto the printable poem paper to create the turkey’s feathers and body of the turkey above the Thanksgiving poem.
After the painted handprint dries you can add a googly eye, a beak and whatever other little touches you would like.
