Foods to Try at the Magic Kingdom

One of the many things that makes Disney World so magical is all of the delicious treats. There are so many different meals and snacks to try it’s hard to decide which foods are our favorite at the Magic Kingdom.

For the most part, Disney parks have two different dining options table service restaurants and quick-service restaurants.

What is a Table Service Restaurant?

Disney World table service restaurants typically cost more and require a reservation. These are the restaurants where you sit at a table and have a waiter. Some of these restaurants include character experiences.

Table service restaurants at the Magic Kingdom include the diamond horseshoe, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table and more.

What is a Quick Service Restaurant?

Disney World quick service restaurants are where you go stand in line order your food, pick it up and find seating. The cost is typically less at these restaurants and they don’t require a reservation.

Must Try Foods in the Magic Kingdom

For this post, I’m going to be sharing our favorite foods from quick service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World.

We really enjoy eating at the quick service restaurants because we are less likely to overeat and we are able to try a variety of different foods for the same cost of a table service meal.

LeFou’s Brew

Location – Gaston’s Tavern

Lefou’s brew is a mixture of Frozen Apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with all-natural passion fruit- mango foam.

Yes, it is as delicious as it sounds and is a must for each of our trips to the magic kingdom. Make sure that you stir up the drink so that the toasted marshmallow is mixed in. Our first sip of the drink was ok but after mixing it, then it’s amazing! Plus it’s cold and perfect for a hot Florida day.

Cheshire Cat Tail

Location – Cheshire Cafe

The Cheshire Cat Tail is a light flakey pastry filled with chocolate chips and topped with pink and purple icing. The pastry is served warm and reminds me of a chocolate-filled crescent.

It’s the perfect sweet treat and one of Jared’s favorite snacks to get at the Magic Kingdom. It can be overly sweet if you eat too much of it so we think it’s perfect to share.

Price – $5.49

Citrus Swirl

Location – Sunshine Tree Terrace

The citrus swirl is made with Dole Whip Orange and Vanilla Soft-Serve swirled together.

This cool treat is very refreshing. It’s a great flavor combination when you get some of the orange and some vanilla in each bite. It reminds me of a very fresh orange creamsicle. The orange Dole Whip is acidic when eaten without the vanilla soft serve. I enjoyed the orange on its own but everyone else only liked it mixed with vanilla.

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich

Location – Sleepy Hollow

The Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle sandwich is a fresh-made waffle topped with sweet and spicy chicken and coleslaw. The waffle sandwich comes with a side of house-made chips.

This sandwich is one of our very favorite foods at the Magic Kingdom. It’s big so perfect for sharing and it has so much flavor. It is spicy but I didn’t think it was too bad. It was too hot for our kids to try. But if you like a little heat this is definitely something you should try.

Wonderland Slushy

Location – Cheshire Cafe

The Wonderland Slushy looks amazing and it tastes good too! The Slush is a mix of Minute Maid Raspberry Lemonade with Fanta Grape and it comes with a candy-coated straw.

The highlight of this drink is definitely the straw. I don’t know what kind of candy is on it but it’s amazing. I was disappointed that it’s a paper straw covered in candy. I think it would be so much better if it was a licorice straw so you could actually eat it!

Spring Rolls

Location – Adventureland Wagon

At the spring roll wagon in Adventureland, we decided to try the Cheeseburger spring roll and the Cuban spring roll. Out of the two, the Cuban was definitely our favorite. It had a lot more flavor than the cheeseburger. But they were both good and very unique.

Price – $7.50 for 2 (you can mix and match)

Pineapple Dole Whip Cup

Location – Aloha Isle

The Pineapple Dole Whip is a classic Disney treat, you can get it as just pineapple flavor or swirled with a vanilla whip.

I personally think the dole whip has a little to much hype, it is good but I wouldn’t wait in a long line for it. More than anything it’s a cool and refreshing treat on a hot Florida day. So enjoy the dole whip but don’t spend 20 minutes waiting in line to get one!

Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich

Location – Sleepy Hollow

The fresh fruit waffle sandwich is made with a hot fresh waffle topped with chocolate-hazelnut spread, fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.

Just like the other waffle sandwich, this one is big enough to share if you can refrain from eating it all! This is the waffle our kids enjoy eating as quickly as they can. They love it, and let’s be honest who doesn’t love carbs, chocolate, and fruit?

Pineapple Float

Location – Aloha Isle

The Pineapple Float is Dole Pineapple juice served with your choice of Dole whip.

The dole whip is the same as if you purchased a cup of ice cream but the fresh pineapple juice makes it extra special. The cold pineapple juice is very refreshing and keeps the Dole whip from being too sweet.

I think the cup of dole whip and the float are both good but it just comes down to personal preference which one you should choose. I will say that you get a lot more Dole whip in the cup than you do the float.
