Since the little man was about 18 months old we have tried to make storytime a part of our daily routine. I have been so impressed with the many different storytime options in the libraries throughout Maryland.
We have lived in several different areas of Maryland and each library has had different programs, but they have all had different story times almost every day of the week. The story times are often focused on a specific age group and many have included crafts or music.
If you haven’t checked out your library’s story time options yet, you should! It’s a great free activity that gets the kids (and mom) out of the house.

After the story
We don’t make it to storytime every week but we try to make it as often as we can. The kids love it when I tell them we are going to the library. Our trips to story time and playing at the library are one of my kids favorite.
Favorite Library Book Titles
When
Today I want to share with you some of our favorite Library Book Titles. Some of these are books we have purchased after finding them at the library and others we checkout on a regular basis.
Llama Llama Red Pajama
Llama Llama red pajama is just one of the Llama Llama books we love. Written by Anna Dewdney this series of books includes a ton of different books all about Llama. These books teach different lessons and have fun little stories and illustrations. Many of the Llama Llama books are available in board book, paperback, kindle and some are even available as audible audiobooks.
Good Night, Gorilla
I love the book Good Night Gorilla – it’s adorable! The photos are cute and though the story is fun and only has a few words. It’s one you will want to read again and again (at least we do!)
Fancy Nancy
The Fancy Nancy books by Jane O’Conner are a family favorite. Nancy’s adventures are fun and the fancy vocabulary is a great way to introduce new words to your kids in a way they will understand the meaning.
These favorite children’s books have been loved by so many and have now been turned into a TV series on Disney Junior.
Silly Sally
Silly Sally is a book I grew up reading and I was so excited to introduce to my kids. It’s an adorable, silly book written by Audrey Wood one of my many favorite children’s authors.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Brown Bear, Brown Bear is a fun children’s book that is a perfect read aloud for babies and toddlers. It has fun illustrations and a fun rhythm as you read about different colored animals. Here is the book put to music, so you can sing along.
Guess How Much I Love You
Guess How Much I Love You is such an adorable book. It is all about Little Nutbrown Hare trying to show his daddy how much he loves him. But that is just half of how much B
