Is there someone in your life that would love to learn how to play the guitar? My husband, Jared has been playing for years both acoustic and electric guitar, he was even in a band in high school. With his help, we have put together The Beginners Guitar Gift Guide.
Either a beginning acoustic guitar pack or an electric guitar pack along with the capo, stand and other items listed are all that you will need for just beginning to play the guitar. This items should take you all the way from beginner through advanced playing. Besides lessons, time and lots of practice.
In Jared’s opinion bronzed or nickel stringed guitars sound and play better, compared to nylon strings. You will be able to find cheaper guitars but in Jared’s opinion these brands are some of the best: Yamaha, Dean, Washburn, Fender, Martin, Ibanez and Gibson.
**This pack includes an Acoustic Guitar**
**This package is an Electric Guitar along with amplifier and other accessories.**
Another guitar option is an Acoustic/Electric Guitar, this guitar can be played with or without an amplifier. This Epiphone PR-4E Acoustic/ Electric guitar player package is a great option.
**This stand isn’t the most expensive but it will work great for holding either an electric or acoustic guitar**
**A capo is used for change the key of the guitar. It allows the guitar to sound either higher or lower than it normally would.**
Rocksmith 2014 Edition available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PC/Mac Xbox 360.
**This game is a great tool for learning how to play the guitar. It’s great for beginner as well as advanced players. **
**This is a fun way for any guitarist to make sure they always have a guitar pick with them.**
** The oils from your hands can make your guitar grimy. These products allow you to clean the strings, fretboard and the body of the guitar. **
**You can never have too many guitar picks, they get lost and break. Jared’s favorite picks are medium fender. Picks come in different thicknesses thin, medium and heavy gauges. **
Tip: There are many great “how to play” videos on Youtube. One my favorites is Marty Schwartz on the Guitar Jamz channel.
