If you have ever visited Orlando or planned a trip to Florida for that matter you have heard of at least a few of the theme park. Disney, Universal, Sea World, and even Legoland are big vacation destinations. Making it easy to miss other activities and attractions in Orlando. The Crayola Experience in Orlando is a great activity to do with young kids.

Last fall we had the chance to visit the Crayola Experience in Easton, Pennsylvania and we had so much fun. In all of our trips to Orlando, we had never visited the Crayola Experience until this past weekend.
This past Saturday we visited the Crayola Experience Orlando and had so much fun. Our kids have asked several times since leaving when we can go back to see the crayons with eyes.

The Crayola Experience Orlando Family Guide
First of all, I’m sure you’re wondering what there is to do at the Crayola Experience and who will enjoy it the most?
So before I get into all the details of our exciting day at Crayola let me share some useful information.
Need to Know Info
Address:
The Crayola Experience Orlando is located at The Florida Mall:
8001 South Orange Blossom Trail
Orlando, Florida 32809
Website:

Hours:
Open 365 days a year from 10 am to 6 pm Monday – Friday and 10 am to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday. Weekday hours are extended during the summer and for holidays.
Buy your tickets online to save time and money.
I would recommend getting to the Crayola Experience when they open or later in the afternoon when the morning crowd would be leaving. During the summer and on weekends the crowds will most likely be larger than on a weekday during the school year.
You can’t bring food into the Crayola Experience so make sure to eat before you go. There is Cafe Crayola if you want to eat a meal or snack.
What Ages Kids Will Enjoy the Crayola Experience?
While I think all ages could have fun at the Crayola Experience, I do think preschool and younger elementary age kids will have the most fun. But some younger kids and some older kids will also enjoy it.
A lot depends on your child’s interest level. Our 2-year-old had just as much fun as her older brother, but some kids that young don’t love to color and do art stuff yet.
So my best advice is to check out the activities that are available and see if you think your kids will enjoy them.

The tokens are used to do a couple of attractions and get fun Crayola items. If you want you can get more tokens near the Modeling Madness area. You get 2 tokens for $1.
Tokens are used for:
- Modeling madness
- Wrap It up!
- The marker Vending Machine
- The 4 box of Crayon Vending Machine
Ok after getting those little details out of the way lets get onto the exciting stuff.
What is there to do at the Crayola Experience Orlando?
The Crayola Experience in Orlando has 70,000 square feet of attractions. With bright colors and creative fun to be found around every corner, there is so much to do.
Plan on spending a minimum of 2 hours at the attraction but don’t be surprised if you end up staying for 3-4 hours. Now onto all the fun activities.
Silly Selfies
Silly Selfies is a new attraction where you can choose from one of over 6,000 silly digital mask combinations and then take a selfie.

We laughed so hard at the selfies we took, this is definitely an area you don’t want to miss.
Scribble Scrubbies
Scribble Scrubbies is another new attraction that is so fun. Give the attendant the ticket you got when you arrived at the attraction to get a washable pet.

You can color, scrub and play with your free scribble scrubbie and have hours of fun at the Crayola Experience and at home.
Wrap It Up!
Pick a color of crayon and create your own personalized Crayola crayon label. Print the custom label and wrap it around a colorful crayon to create your own unique Crayola crayon!

Both of our kids loved adding their names and a smiley face to their Crayola crayon label.
*each crayon costs 1 token
Be A Star
Get ready to smile or make a funny face at this coloring page photobooth. Creating a coloring page with you in it is as easy as picking a background, getting ready and pushing the button.

Don’t be afraid to have some fun and print out a few different coloring pages staring the whole family or just the kids.
These coloring pages are a great activity to enjoy once you get home from your day at the Crayola Experience.

Drip Art
Create a swirly masterpiece of melted wax at the Drip Art station. While we waited in the short line to make our own drip art we selected 2 crayons we wanted to use in our art project.

Once a spot opened up we loaded our first crayon into the machine and watched it melt crayon wax onto our paper.
The kids loved using the lever to control how fast the paper spun. After the first crayon melted we loaded our second one and watched it melt!

The spiral art is definitely a fun activity. Adults get to make one too, so don’t forget to join in on the fun or let your kids make an extra one.
Melt and Mold
Select a crayon and watch it melt into something new. When we visited we could choose to make an emoji or a puppy.
While the crayons are cute when they are done. This is a pretty boring activity after the crayon melts, you wait for it to cool and you’re done.
So while this wasn’t our kid’s favorite activity, they love the emoji crayons. So it’s worth waiting for the wax to cool to have the fun crayon.
Crayon Factory Show
The Crayola Factory is located in Easton, PA and isn’t open to public tours. That’s ok because in the Crayon Factory you can learn about how crayons are made.
This fun show hosted by crayon friends Scarlet and Turk along with resident Crayonologists is a great way to find out why Crayola crayons are the best. Plus you might even discover some little known facts about those colorful tools.

The show isn’t long and is entertaining enough to keep the little ones interested.
As we walked out from the show they gave us each a newborn crayon that was made right here in Orlando.
Meltdown
Meltdown is an area where you can paint with melted wax. We could pick from an outline of a lion or a unicorn and then there were several different stations with meltdown pens in different colors to paint our masterpieces.

For older kids, they could create something really awesome. We had fun but our masterpieces aren’t breathtaking.
Toddler Town
Toddler town is a fun area for the little ones with a climbing area and a slide it’s a great place to run off some energy.
Plus the multi-colored pegboard is so fun and a great way to learn and play with color.

Don’t worry if your kids are older than toddlers there is another fun climbing area, let’s talk about that one next!
Color Playground
The color playground is a 2-story climbing area. with two towers to climb a slide and a paint bridge preschool and elementary age kids will love it.

This was one of the highlights for our 4 year old he loved climbing all the way to the top and going across the bridge.
You Design
Have you ever dreamed of being a designer? In this virtual studio, you get to color, scan and digitally accessorize your car, truck or fashion design.
The style can be as unique as you are and then watch your design show off on the big screen.

The kids loved seeing their truck and car show up and move around the big screen.
Activity Studio
The activity studio has “cut, color and paste” projects. The theme of these projects changes regularly so each time you visit you can create something new.

Colossal Caddy
Visit the giant caddy that holds thousands of crayons and a variety of different coloring pages.

It was hard to find seating around the caddy when we visited so we grabbed a few coloring pages and sat at a different table to color.
Molding Madness
Select a color of Crayola Model Magic compound and have fun sculpting at one of the tables.
*each packet of model magic compound costs 1 token.
Cool Moves
On your way out don’t forget to stop and at the Cool Moves attraction. In this area, you can become a dancing crayon.
Ok, I didn’t share all of the attractions at the Crayola Experience since this list was getting way too long! You can see all that the Crayola Experience has to offer by going to their website.
