Father’s Day Sunday is coming up fast. Often church congregations and wards like to give Father’s Day gifts to the men in the congregation on this Sunday. If you’re looking for father’s day gift ideas for church you have come to the right place.
Giving a little gift is a fun way to celebrate the men in a congregation and let them know we love them.
While giving a gift to the men at church for Father’s Day is a great idea what do you give them?

Tips for Giving Father’s Day Gifts at Church
When thinking of what gift to give out on Father’s Day there are multiple things to consider. A few big things to consider are price, does it work for multiple ages and who gets a gift?
Price
Each church congregation is going to have a different amount of money they are working with. Your options will vary depending on how many gifts you need and how much money you have in your budget.
Multiple Ages
Most church congregations have a variety of ages that attend meetings. So your Father’s Day gift should work for both the new dad and the great-grandpa.
Who Gets a Gift
Who gets a gift can be tricky…you don’t want people to feel left out and you don’t want them to be offended if they don’t want a gift.
When I was growing up our church gave gifts to all the men that were old enough to be dads (mid-20 and beyond).
For our ward (church congregation), this worked well because we had several older men who could never have children but played the role of adopted dad to many children in the ward.

This may not work for each congregation so do what works for you. Be sure to talk to your bishop, pastor, or another church leader to see what they think would be best.
Not all of the Father’s Day gift ideas for church groups included in this list will work in every situation. But there should be something that will work for your unique church congregation.
Father’s Day Gift Ideas for Church
Depending on your church you may want to give religious gifts to the men for Father’s Day or you might just want to give them fun or practical gifts. Both are great ways to acknowledge fathers on this special day. I’m sharing a few ideas that are both religious and non-religious. I’m definitely sharing the most gift ideas for the non-religious gifts.
Christian Gifts for Father’s Day
While there are a lot of Christian gifts you could give for father’s day I’m mainly focusing on sharing gifts that would work for any dad. But I did want to share a few ideas that are more religious in case that’s what you’re looking for.
If you want specifically Christian father’s day gifs with a religious message you can easily find something at a Christian bookstore or even on amazon.
A few great gift ideas from the church would be:
- be a coffee mug with a scripture or quote
- bible study supplies
- a book of bible studies
- an oil vial keychain
- cross necklace
- book by a religious leader
Fun and Simple Gifts for Father’s Day
The ideas below are perfect gift ideas for men of different ages and interests. They are inexpensive and should work for most budgets, while also being a special gift for the men at your Father’s Day church service.

Candy Bar
Candy Bars are always a good fathers day gift, plus it’s so easy. Pick up a variety of different candy bars at the grocery store, you could even get a bulk box of candy bars at Costco or Sam’s Club.
To make the candy bars a little bit more special you could add a fun father’s day tag to each one. You can find some fun printable father’s day gift tags at the bottom of this post.
Nice Pen
A nice pen or pen set is a little bit more expensive of a gift, but could also be nice for the men in your ward. Plus a pen is a more practical gift because everyone needs something to write with.

Bag of Chips
Individual snack-size bags of chips make a unique gift that’s delicious and practical. If you pick nacho cheese flavor chips I have a fun “nacho average dad” happy father’s day gift tag you can add to the bag.
Donuts
Dad’s and donuts definitely go together. You could give dad’s a small pack of donuts or have a variety of donuts and they can pick one.

Cookies
Cookies are always a fun treat to give. You could make homemade cookies or get cookies in individual packages to give for Father’s Day.
I made a fun “chip, chip hurray it’s Father’s Day” gift tag that is fun for chips ahoy cookies or any cookies with chips in them.
Brownies
Brownies are another fun homemade or store-bought gift for all the fathers at church. You could even serve brownies with ice cream to the men after the meeting (or during priesthood/Sunday school).

Muffins
Another fun food idea is muffins either homemade or prepackaged along with a gift tag that says “We would be muffin without you.”
Flashlight
There are a lot of different options with what kind of flashlight you could give. On Amazon, you can get a large pack of small flashlight key chains that would be a great gift idea.

Berries
June is one of the best times for fresh berries so grab some cartons of fresh fruit and add a little tag that says “you’re the berry best! Happy Father’s Day!” Even better add a pound cake and whipping cream for some strawberry shortcake.

Swedish Fish
My husband loves gummy candies so a pack of Swedish fish would definitely be a favorite for him. Add the gift tag that says “You’re O-Fish-Ally Awesome” to make it an even cuter gift.
Gifts for Children’s Sunday School to Make Dad
If you teach Primary or Children’s Sunday School classes here are a couple of simple and easy gifts you could help the children make to give their dad for Father’s Day.
All About My Dad Questionnaire
The all about my dad questionnaire is a perfect father’s day craft for a Sunday school teacher to help children fill out and make for their own dads or another father figure.
The questionnaire is a free printable that you can download and though you may have to pay to print the pages it’s an almost free gift that sentimental dads will love.
Coupon Booklet
Use this Father’s Day coupon book template to make coupons for the men in your church. You could let the children in the children’s Sunday school classes make a coupon book for their own father. You could also use the editable version of the coupon booklet to make a custom coupon or book of coupons for all the men if you wanted to.
I could keep going with other Father’s Day gift ideas like a small gift card, movie ticket, and more but I’m going to stop. The ideas I shared are my favorites and I’ll add to them if I think of any that I really want to share.
