This is the second post in my weekend in the Poconos series if you missed my post yesterday be sure to go and read about Visiting Bushkill Falls. On our weekend trip to the Poconos, we visited Village Farmer and Bakery.

Village Farmer and Bakery in Delaware Water Gap, PA is a unique experience. The store doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you step inside you will be amazed.
When you first step in the door you will be met with jars of salsa and jams. There are samples throughout the store of everything from salsa and jams to pies and other pastries.

The Village Farmer and Bakery has a ton of pies and yummy looking pastries; including cheesecakes, cupcakes and even sweetbreads.

Along with pastries, the bakery offers a variety of different foods. We got the True Love Special! (a hot dog and a slice of pie for $2.95), Turkey, Bacon and Avocado Sandwich on Garlic Herb Bread (It was amazing!) and French Fries.
Next time we visit I really want to try the French Toast Sausage Egg Sandwiches, it sounded so good.

On the weekends, there is BBQ in front of the bakery. There is also a great opportunity to take a picture as a hot dog or slice of pie in front of the store.

If you’re planning a weekend in the Poconos be sure to add Village Farmer and Bakery to your list of stops. Even though it doesn’t look like much from the outside the food inside is great.
Have you ever been to the Village Farmer and Bakery? What did you think?
