Reading together is one of my favorite ways to make memories with my kids. I love that we are able to explore the world, go on adventures, and laugh together as we read. Lately, we have been really enjoying reading funny picture books together.
Life has been crazy lately so funny picture books have been a great way for our family to enjoy time together and laugh together.
With everything going on in the world right now I felt like now would be a great time to share our favorite funny picture books with you.
Funny Picture Books
You can find many of these books at the library, but don’t be surprised if you end up adding them to your personal book collection.

Parts
Parts is one of my kids current favorite picture books. No matter your age you will find this book entertaining, but it’s really great for the kids that are in the constant questioning phase.
The book takes things that happen naturally to all of us like boogers or a loose tooth and takes it to the extreme.
You will be laughing out loud as you read about this 5-year old that thinks he is going bald, losing pieces of his brain, and who knows what else.

Falling for Rapunzel
If you have a child that loves princess this is a must read. Even if they don’t love princess it’s a fun book to read.
Rapunzel up in her tower has a hard time hearing the prince when he comes to rescue her.
She never can quite figure out exactly what the prince wants her to throw down. Pancake batter and silky dresses are definitely not what he requested.
Get this adorable book on Amazon and if you like this book be sure to read Waking Beauty – that poor prince has no idea what to do.
The Napping House
The napping house not only has adorable illustrations the story is cute and silly.
Everyone is so sleepy at the napping house, what will wake them up? Find out in this fun book the whole family will love.

If You Give a Moose a Muffin
There are a ton of different “If you Give…” books and we love them all. They are silly and written in a way that is not only fun to listen to it’s also fun to read.
These silly stories are some of my kid’s favorites and we read them frequently. They also love watching the if you give a mouse a cookie tv series on prime that is based on these books.

7 Silly Eaters
I don’t know what I would do if I was the mom of these 7 Silly Eaters. Each child has only 1 food that they will eat and they like it in a specific way.
This rhyming book is cute and silly. The rhyming makes it really easy to read and the funny story and adorable photos make it so fun.

Nibbles
You guys if you haven’t read nibbles you are missing out. Nibbles the book monster is such a cute and silly book.
Follow along with this book monster as he nibbles his way into other stories and changes them. With a silly storyline and holes and flaps throughout the book it’s a favorite for kids.

My Lucky Day is a funny book all about the lucky fox, pig. This pig is clever and knows just how to get what he wants and turn what should have been his last day into a lucky day.

Fancy Nancy
Not only is Fancy Nancy an adorable and silly book it is filled with fancy words. There is a whole series of Fancy Nancy books and my 3 year old loves them all.
Some books are more silly than others, but Nancy is always getting into some silly situation.
