This is the first of my Christmas in July Posts. I know it’s July so it kind of seems crazy to think about Christmas. But the more we plan and prep now the more we can relax and enjoy the holidays.
When I think of Christmas Decorations Precious Moments are one of the first things that come to mind.
Precious Moments figurines and ornaments are somewhat of a tradition in my family.
I have been told that my dad’s mom had a Christmas tree completely decorated with Precious Moments ornaments. When she passed away many of those ornaments ended up decorating my parents Christmas tree.
On my parent’s Christmas tree along with those ornaments passed on from my grandma are Precious Moments ornaments for each family members first Christmas.
With all the Precious Moments decorations, these cute characters were a big part of the holidays when I was growing up.
Since getting married our family has moved a lot so I don’t have very many holiday decorations. And didn’t have any precious moments pieces until recently.
My First Precious Moments
Technically I got my first precious moment when I was a baby celebrating my first Christmas. That ornament is still at my parent’s house (one day I will remember to get it when I visit!)
Not counting my baby’s first Christmas ornaments, I got my first precious moment figurines just this past week.
I got a Precious Moments Countdown to Christmas Nativity Advent Calendar that I can’t wait to use during the holidays this year.
The advent has 24 little drawers, each of the drawers hold a mini figurine and a cute wooden stable sits on top of the drawers.
The advent comes with a little book that tells you which character to put in each drawer. The little book also tells about the part each character played in the Nativity.
The advent is quick and easy to set up and it only takes a couple of minutes to do each day.
It’s a fun decor piece and the nativity is adorable.
I love the little details included on each character. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite Holiday Decor pieces.
Did you know that Precious Moments have figurines, stuffed animals and more for all occasions? Until recently I had associated Precious Moments exclusively with Christmas. But they have so many fun products for throughout the year. They even have some adorable Disney products.
