I know it seems crazy to be thinking about Christmas already but Christmas is only a few months away. Now I’m not saying it’s time to break out the decorations. (I wait until mid-November for that!) But there are a few things that you can do now that will make your Christmas more relaxing and fun!

10 Ways to Get Ready for Christmas Now
1. Take Family Photos
Right now is a great time to get family photos taken. Depending on your photographer they might be a few weeks (or months) out with appointments.
Getting your family photos taken during the summer and early fall means that you can order Christmas Cards early and take advantage of sales!
2. Order Christmas Cards
Now that you have your family photos it’s time to design your Christmas Card. There are a lot of different places to order your Christmas Cards from. One of the companies I have ordered from is Shutterfly.
With Shutterfly, you can design your own card or use one of there many card designs and just simply add your photos.
Shutterfly is always having sales so be sure to sign up for their email list to get the latest deals and free offers.

3. Buy Christmas Pajamas
Ok so you might not be ready to buy Christmas Pajamas yet, but it’s a good idea to start looking. If you find any pajamas you love be sure to get them before they sell out! This is especially true if you want the whole family to have matching Christmas Pajamas.
4. Pick an Advent or Two
Start thinking about what advent activities you want to do and once you decide which ones your family is going to do start getting them ready.
Last year we did a Christmas Book countdown. The kids loved it and we can’t wait to do it again this year.

5. Get Christmas Ornaments
If you have the fun holiday tradition of getting or making ornaments each year now is a great time to get the ornaments so they are ready to pull out when you decorate the tree or if it’s a gift get them wrapped and tagged so they are ready to go under the tree in December.
6. Start Diy Gifts
If you are doing any DIY gifts now is the time to get the supplies and get started making those gifts.
Even if you’re doing the crafting online like ordering photo gifts or designing t-shirts to order. It’s a great idea to get them designed and ordered early so you can take advantage of sales and you know they will arrive in time for Christmas.
This Personalized Guess Who Game is one of my family’s favorite DIY Gifts.
7. Set Aside Money for Food and Gifts
During November and December, food and gift costs can really take a toll on your budget. Setting aside money now can make it easier during the holiday months.
8. Set a Holiday Budget
Set a Holiday Budget, include items, like holiday foods, stocking stuffers, holiday activities, and gifts.
9. Make a list of Gift Ideas
You might not be ready to start shopping for holiday gifts, maybe you’re waiting for Black Friday deals. But it’s not too early to start a list of gift ideas for each person you will be shopping for.
Keeping a running list of things they have mentioned wanting and things you think they like will help make shopping a lot easier.
10. Watch for Sales
Watch for sales, the end of a season means a lot of items will be going on sale. Sometimes you will be surprised by what items get marked down. So be sure to watch for items that can be used for crafts, stocking stuffers and gifts.
11. Make A Holiday Bucket List
Start brainstorming different activities, events, and crafts that you want to do during the holidays. Make a list of the activities and print out a calendar to give the activities a date, so you don’t miss out on any holiday fun.
Here is a fun Christmas Bucket List printable you can use to keep track of all the fun holiday activities you want to do.
