Each year I do a fun April fools’ dinner for my family. Sometimes I do other pranks but for the most part, it’s limited to food and especially our dinner.
Each year my kids look forward to the undrinkable juice that comes with dinner.
The first year we did this my kids thought it was hilarious and so we have continued doing it each year, for now.
The funny thing is that the kids don’t usually remember until they try to take the first sip.
We usually have an “undrinkable fruit punch” but you can make other types of juice if you would like.
April Fools Undrinkable Juice
So how do you make this undrinkable juice? Jello!
You can use unflavored clear gelatin with your favorite juice if you would like. But if you’re like me then the boxed jello in the color you need to make this quick and easy.
I typically use either strawberry jello since it looks like fruit punch or berry raspberry jello since it looks like power aid which are two of my kid’s favorite drinks.
Supplies
- Jello
- Cup
- Straw
- Plastic Wrap
Make the jello following the instructions on the box but pour it into a cup once you’re done mixing it.
Place the straw in the cup before the jello sets and put it in the fridge.
I have found that covering the cups with plastic and then poking the straw through a hole helps keep the straws standing.
Wait for the jello to set and you have your undrinkable drink. Be sure to have your camera ready for those first reactions.
