The Story of Benji & The Giant Kite
Benji and The Giant Kite is a story about a little boy named Benji. Benji loves kites. He loves all different kinds of kites, different sizes, and colors.
One day while at the toy store Benji sees a giant orange kite that he want’s more than anything else in the world. Instead of purchasing the kite for him, Benji’s mom tells him he will need to earn the money to buy the kite.
So Benji gets to work weeding the garden for the next two weeks. He feels like he will never be done working, but finally, all the hard work pays off and his mom gives him the giant orange kite.
Now that Benji has his kite he takes it to the beach. The kite flies higher and higher and Benji is thrilled.
When it’s time to go home Benji can’t bear to bring the kite down so he sets it free to stay where it belongs up among the clouds.
Review of Benji & The Giant Kite
The Book Benji & The Giant Kite is recommended for children 4 and older. For children to fully understand the message of the book I think 4+ is a good age.
My kids that are 3 and 18 months both enjoyed reading the story. Though they might not understand all the lessons the book taught, they loved the pictures and understood that he had to help to get his toy.
When we read stories with our kids, we like to talk about the images and what they think is happening. As we read this book with our kids we talked about how we all have to help so we can do fun things.
This story is the perfect length for young kids to stay interested in the story. Overall, I would recommend reading this book with your children and talking about the book.

This sounds so cute, I think my kids would love it! I loved Roxaboxen when I was little, it just seemed like such a neat idea.

Awesome, it’s so fun when kids love to read.
I love to read children’s books, especially when they teach good values to children. One of my favorite children’s books is “Parts” by Tedd Arnold. It teaches the importance of communication to little children, who don’t understand things in the same way adults do. The book makes this lesson both hilarious and relatable.
I love that book! I need to get it so I can read it to the kids!
