This Daddy’s Little Monster Footprint or handprint card is the perfect reason to pull out the craft supplies and make something fun for dad.
This card is fun for kids to give dad for his birthday, Father’s day, or just because. Not only will the kids love giving it to dad they will have tons of fun making it.
This little monster card is quick and easy to make and it uses your child’s footprint or handprint which makes it such a fun keepsake.
Supplies for Little Monster Card
-Printable Card printed on Cardstock (get it at the bottom of the post)
-Paint or ink
-Googly Eyes
– Marker
-Your Child’s Foot or Hand
Making Daddy’s Little Monster Card
Like I mentioned above this card is quick and easy to make and you probably already have all the supplies you need to make it.
First, you’re going to print out a daddy’s little monster card on cardstock. I printed one of these cards for each of my kids to use. Once I had the cards printed we folded them in half so we had a good idea of where to put the footprint.
We used paint to make our monsters but you can use an ink pad and it’s actually a lot easier. The reason we decided to use paint is that we had more paint color options.
After the kids decided on the color they wanted to use for their monster I painted the bottom of their foot and pressed it onto the card. We made our monsters so that the kid’s heal was at the top of the card with their toes being the monster’s feet.
You can also make your monster with a handprint instead of a footprint if you would like. Or if your child is small enough you can put two monsters (a footprint and a handprint) on the same card.
After your monster has some time to dry it’s time to give the monster some eyes and a mouth. We love using googly eyes for as many crafts as possible so we obviously used them for our monster eyes. To make the monster’s mouth we used a marker.
After your monster is complete you can write a fun little message to dad on the inside and include this all about my dad questionnaire for even more fun.
