Valentine’s Day is the holiday of love and everything red and pink. There are so many fun ways to celebrate this holiday and why not start of by making this fun Valentine’s Day wreath.
This paper Valentine’s Day wreath is a perfect craft for all ages. It’s easy enough for kids (even toddlers) to make and it’s cute enough to use as a fun Valentines decoration!

Valentine’s Day Wreath
This paper plate Valentine’s Day wreath is the perfect craft to make for the holiday and all you need is some basic craft supplies.
Supplies
- Cheap Paper Plate
- Construction paper (we used a variety of colors)
- Glue
- String/ Ribbon
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
Putting Together the Valentines Wreath
The first step to making the wreath is cutting out a bunch of hearts. You can pick 2 or 3 colors to use or do a mix. My kids liked having a variety of colors to use.
Cut out a variety of medium and small size hearts in different colors. Depending on the kids ages they can cut out their own hearts.
My 9 and 8 year olds did this whole craft project on their own. For my preschooler and toddler I had the hearts cut out before they started.
Now that the hearts are ready you are going to cut out the center of the paper plate. Cut leaving the outside edges of the plate still attached. This is going to work as the backing for your wreath.
Now you can start gluing on hearts to the paper plate wreath shape. Start with the bigger sizes and then use the smaller hearts as accents on top of the larger ones.
I like alternating colors so you can easily see the heart shape. But you can design your wreath anyway you want.
Continue decorating your wreath until you feel your wreath is done.
Lastly attach a string or ribbon to your wreath to hang it. You can tape the string to the back if you want or punch a hole in the top of the wreath and hang it from there. (you can do this step before you start to decorate if you want)
