The World of Coca Cola in Atlanta Georgia has been on my husband’s bucket list for years. When we decided at the end of last year to take a road trip from Maryland to Florida we planned in a stop at the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta.

We were hoping to get to coke world early in the day but road tripping with kids, traffic, and construction in Atlanta all contributed to arriving later than planned at the World of Coca Cola.

If you arrive later in the day at the Coke World attraction be prepared to wait in a long line to get inside. But don’t worry they are open for a couple of hours after they stop selling tickets. So even if you arrive late you will still have plenty of time to explore the museum.

Visit During the Week

I would recommend visiting during the week if you can. We visited during a holiday week and in the afternoon and it was crazy. If it’s a holiday or weekend plan on getting there early.

Wear Good Shoes

Plan on walking around for at least a couple hours at coke world so wear shoes that are comfortable. Also, be prepared for a slightly sticky floor in the Taste It area.

Outside the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta

Drink Water

Jared and I both noticed that in the Taste It area there is no ice for the soda tasting which means that the soda is very carbonated.

After trying a few sodas you might start to feel bloated and your taste buds might need a break from the sweet. The coca-cola freestyle machines have water, drink some water to give you a refreshing break from all the soda.

Also, don’t forget you can try some soda in the Taste It area and then go explore the other areas and come back to Taste It again before exiting the museum.

Take your Time and Have Fun

Take your time and have fun, don’t feel like you have to rush to see everything. Just see the things you want to.

Take Pictures

Don’t forget to take pictures! Y’all know that’s my favorite way to remember everything! I consider it journaling without having to write anything down.

Have you ever been to the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta? What was your favorite part?

  1. After living near Atlanta for years, we finally got around to visiting the Coca-Cola Museum. It was super fun, not to mention interesting. And you’re right about the Taste It area. Between the carbonation and the sugar, it can quickly get overwhelming. Did not know that we could have come back for a second (or third) sampling. *sigh* Lesson learned.

    1. This time we didn’t go back for seconds or thirds but we saw several people doing it. That’s so fun you live close to Atlanta, you’ll have to enjoy another day at the Coca-Cola Museum sometime.
