Coconut Water Brand Comparison
This summer we tried several different brands of coconut water. Including Coco Joy, Vita Coco, Zico, Kirkland and Aldi brand. (Some of these brands have added sugar others do not.)
Our favorite brand was Coco Joy, we liked the taste the best and we also loved that there is no added sugar in this product. The only downside we found is that we can’t find Coco Joy in stores. The only place we have been able to find it is on Amazon. (This takes planning for the 2-day shipping. Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial)
So, if I want (need!) Coconut water sooner than I can get it from amazon I typically get Zico from Costco.
Favorite Ways to Use Coconut Water
There are so many different ways to use coconut water, the following are just a few of our favorite ways to use it. For more ideas checkout Pinterest there are tons of different recipes and ideas for using Coconut Water.

Fresh Fruit Popsicle
Fresh fruit popsicles are fun and easy to make. Simply put any fresh fruit you want in the popsicle mold then pour coconut water over the top and freeze.
*Make sure the fruit you use doesn’t have seeds. Also, thick cut fruit can be hard to eat when frozen so thinly sliced is our favorite.
Coconut Slush
We like to put the container of coconut water in the freezer for about 30 minutes before we drink it. It starts to freeze so we shake it before drinking it and we have a nice slightly slushy drink.
You can also make a slush in a blend tech by blending Ice and coconut water. The amount of ice/water will depend on how thick you want the slush.

Strawberry Coconut Pops
Blend 6-8 strawberries with about 6 oz. of coconut water then pour in popsicle molds and freeze.
*Depending on desired sweetness you might want to add a sweetener.
Smoothies
Coconut Water is frequently used as the base of our fruit (sometimes green) smoothies.
I have heard that using coconut water instead of regular water when cooking rice, gives the rice a great flavor. It’s on my list of foods to try. What is your favorite way to use coconut water?
This post was not sponsored by any of the brands mentioned. It is entirely based on my own experience and personal preferences.

Haha my little guy wont drink it, but he loves popsicles and smoothies!
I haven’t really used coconut water, but I love using coconut oil and coconut milk. I’ll have to try popsicles with it…one of our fave snacks/treats!
I love all things Coconut! I think Coconut milk blended with the fresh strawberries would be an amazing popsicle, it would be so creamy!
I am actually just now discovering the wonders of coconut water and coconut milk! These are great ideas. A FAB alternative to the sugary dyed popsicles.
This summer was the first time we started using coconut water and I love it! I feel so much better about giving my little people treats made with it instead of all the artificial stuff.
Yum! My kids would love these!
They are so yummy and fast to make! Perfect Kid treat!
