In January my husband and I spent a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. Jared had meetings so we didn’t have a ton of time to explore but we did stay at an awesome resort, the Gaylord Opryland Resort, and Convention Center.
The Gardens
The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is massive, while Jared was in meetings I explored the beautiful resort. The hotel was beautiful with indoor gardens and a number of different walking paths. It was freezing cold outside so we spent a lot of time walking through all the gardens inside.
Each morning while Jared was in meetings I would walk through the beautiful atrium gardens throughout the resort. The Gaylord Opryland Resort has 9 acres of indoor gardens spread throughout.
Food at the Resort
The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is like a small city inside the gardens with 18 restaurants, 5 bars/lounges, and different activities. There is even a boat ride you can take on the indoor river.
Rooms
Our room was beautiful, yet somehow I can’t find any photos of our room. Our room faced outside the resort. Next time we come I think it would be fun to have an inside garden view with a balcony.
When we checked in the staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and directions to find our room. With 9 acres of indoor gardens, 2,888 guest rooms and 700,000 square feet of meeting space we definitely needed the map!
Other Amenities
Along with beautiful gardens, the resort also has a pool, fitness center and spa. Since I was 7 months pregnant at the time of our visit I didn’t really explore any of these areas of the resort. So that just means we will have to plan another trip to the Opryland Resort.
Location
The Gaylord Opryland Resort is in a great location for exploring Nashville. It is only a 9-minute walk to the Grand Ole Opry and other touristy locations are located within walking distance as well.
Don’t Forget the Fees
When your planning your stay one thing to keep in mind is that if you have a car there is a parking fee. There is also a resort fee. So when calculating the cost of a stay at the resort be sure to add in these fees to your price.
Would We Stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort Again?
YES! We loved our stay at the Opryland Resort and Convention Center. We can’t wait to plan another vacation and stay here again.
