Thanksgiving is coming up fast so I wanted to share this fun free printable Thanksgiving I spy coloring page.
My family loves playing the classic game I Spy when we are going on a road trip and we also love reading I-spy picture books. So I thought it would be fun to create Thanksgiving I Spy free printable games.

This fun activity is perfect for adults and kids to enjoy on Thanksgiving day or during the holiday season.

Reasons to Use Thanksgiving I Spy Games and Books
I spy pages are a great way for kids of all ages to work on visual learning, memory skills, and simple math skills like counting.
Kids also use fine motor skills to color the Thanksgiving images.
Thanksgiving I Spy Pages
There are two different versions of this fun game printable an easier and a more challenging version along with an answer key.
The more challenging page has older kids count and then write the answer (between 1-20). So it’s better for those that are already familiar with numbers from 1 through 20. You could have the kids use tally marks to count the items.

The one for little kids has the number of items that need to be found between 1-10 which is great for number recognition and counting. The pictures are bigger on this page.
The answer sheet can also be used as a more challenging page but instead of counting and writing the answer. They need to find the number of items and color them. So I would say it’s an in-the-middle difficulty level if you want to use it that way.
Using the I Spy Thanksgiving Activity Page
There are a lot of different ways you can use this fun activity. Personally, I like to use it to keep my kids entertained (for at least a few minutes) while I’m in the kitchen making Thanksgiving dinner.
But you can also use this as one of several fun activities in the classroom during November (classroom party?) and the days leading up to Thanksgiving. It’s a great boredom buster and themed activity.

If you will be traveling for Thanksgiving you can use this free printable game as a screen free activity while driving or flying with kids.
The Thanksgiving activity pages could also be fun activities for a doctor’s office waiting room or at a local library coloring area.
To help young children to be able to enjoy this great activity I made a second page that’s easier. It has the number of each item the kids are looking for. Plus the pictures are bigger and easier to color for younger children.

Printing and Supplies Needed for The I Spy Game
You only need a few supplies for this fun activity:
- the printable game page (at the bottom of the page)
- a printer and paper
- crayons, markers, or other coloring supplies
You can print this fun thanksgiving activity on cardstock or regular printer paper. I usually print these types of free printables on regular paper so my kids can have fun doing them and then they eventually get thrown away.
If you want to make this free printable worksheet into a reusable activity you can use it multiple times I would recommend printing it on cardstock and then laminating it or putting it in a dry erase pocket. Then your kids can use dry erase markers to do this activity.
