Quick and Easy KidsThanksgiving Paper Plate Wreath Craft

My mom and a few of my brothers visited us a couple of weeks ago and while they were here my mom and I were able to sneak away to the craft store for a little bit.

There is nothing like being able to wander the isles of a craft store without little kids. It was so fun to walk around and check out all the fun crafty things.

While we were at the craft store I found the most adorable felt turkey stickers. I just knew I needed them to make an adorable Thanksgiving craft of some kind!

After messing around with the turkey stickers I decided they would be perfect to make a Thanksgiving paper plate wreath.

Thanksgiving Paper Plate Wreath

The first step to making this Thanksgiving paper plate wreath is to get the wreath shape. Fold the paper plate in half and cut out the middle giving you a wreath shape.

ready to put together the Thanksgiving paper plate wreaths

Once you have your wreath you can paint the paper plate or leave it white whatever you want. We painted our plate wreaths 3 different colors (black, red and rose gold) to see what we liked best.

Adding leaves to the paper plate wreath

After our painted plates dried the kids used glue to attach leaves around the plate. I found a bag of these fall leaves at the Dollar Tree and they worked perfectly for our craft.

twine for the turkey across the wreath

Then we taped a piece of twine across the middle of our wreath and used two turkey stickers to attach a double-sided turkey to the middle of the wreath.

The kids thought it was so fun to wind up the turkey and watch it spin around in the middle of the wreath.

Finished Rose Gold Turkey Paper Plate Wreath

To finish up the wreath punch a hole in the top of the wreath and use a string, I used twine, to make a loop to hang your wreath from! Find a fun place to hang your wreath and enjoy your fun new holiday decoration.
