September By the Numbers

I have been thinking about doing a post with life updates and some of the fun things we have been doing for a while. But I haven’t ever done a post that’s just about us so if you enjoy this post and would like to see a monthly post like these please let me know so I make time to get it done.

September by the numbers

I can’t believe how quickly the summer went, we had so much fun doing so many fun things in Florida. September was no exception.

September in Numbers

1 Knoebels Camping Trip

We started off the month of September with a fun camping trip. Thanks to Hurricane Dorian we decided to make a trip up to Maryland to check on the house and get it ready for renters.

While we were there we decided at the last minute to go camping at Knoebels like we have each Labor Day weekend since we moved to the east coast.

We got to spend some time with Jared’s cousins and we slept in our minivan so it was definitely a fun adventure.

2,300+ Miles Driven

Background- At the end of August after 6 months of living in Florida we made the decision to move back to Maryland.

We drove to Maryland the last part of August bringing a trailer full of our stuff and then headed back to Florida at the beginning of the month.

A couple weeks later we made another trip back to Maryland taking another trailer full of our stuff to make moving day a little easier in October.

So two trips from Maryland to Florida and one from Florida to Maryland means we drove 2,300 miles just from one house to the other. So in case you’re wondering we put a TON of miles on our van in September!

1 Trip to the Zoo

We spent a fun day at the Jacksonville Zoo with some good friends. Our day was filled with seeing different animals, watching an interaction with a tiger, riding the train and enjoying the splash pad.

We even got to see a baby gorilla that was so cute!

Overall it was such a fun day and we spent more time at the zoo than I thought we would.

1 Day at Legoland

While we have been living in Florida this year we got Legoland annual passes and we have loved visiting the resort. We have been at least once a month and each time it’s so much fun.

The first time we came to the park this spring the little man was to short for the unikitty ride he really wanted to go on but in August he was finally tall enough.

Since this was our last trip to Legoland for a while we had to do all of our favorite rides and get a few of the apple fries.

1810 Photos Taken

Yeah, let’s just say I take a lot of pictures. I need to remember all these precious moments with my little family. Plus it’s my favorite way to journal so lots of photos of our everyday lives is totally normal!

6 Blog Posts Written

September was a little crazy with 2 trips to Maryland, packing for our move and trying to get all the time we could with our Florida friends.

Even though I didn’t get as many posts published as I wanted to I’m glad I got 6 of them done! Check out this month’s posts below, just click over to read any of the posts you missed!

1 Last Day at the Beach

The beach was our happy place while living in Florida. We loved spending time in the sand and sea.

For our last day at the beach, we took some family photos and then spent 5+ hours playing in the sun.

We are sad to be moving farther away from the beach, but we will be back!

Countless Moving Boxes

Ok so honestly I probably could have counted the number of moving boxes but no one really wants to do that so we will just stick with countless.

By the end of September almost the whole condo in Florida was packed and we only had a few necessities left out.

Some Really Hard “See you Later’s”

The hardest part about leaving Florida was saying “see you later” to our friends. Even though we were only in Florida for 7 months we made some amazing friendships.

We were really blessed to be in the right place at the right time to make some life long friends. These friends made our time in Florida amazing and we miss them!

As you can tell our month of September was filled with ups and downs. Did you do anything fun in September?
