Since moving to Florida one of our favorite things to do is go to the beach. We have been to several different beaches exploring, including a couple of areas along Jacksonville beach, one of the beaches along the Guana River Wildlife Management Area and Mickler Beach.

Mickler Beach
Mickler beach is located just south of Ponte Vedra beach along the Atlantic coast of Florida.

The beach is very family friendly. There is a small parking lot with free parking, restrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off.
Along the beach, there are many beautiful homes with private accesses to the beach. Mickler Landing is a public access point onto this beach.

If you are looking for white sandy beaches Mickler is not the place to go. If you like shelling and searching for sharks teeth sounds like fun then Mickler beach is perfect for you.
The shore is often covered in shells. During high tide, there is very little sand. As the tide goes out there are more sandy areas along the beach. So depending on the tide when you visit the beach could look very different than you are expecting.

This beach is known for all the shark teeth that litter its shores. Each time we have visited Mickler beach we have found several sharks teeth of varying sizes. It’s fun to find these small hidden treasures among all the shells.
Know before you visit
It gets busy
This stretch of beach can get really busy at times and the parking lot will get full. If there isn’t anywhere to park at Mickler beach head down state road A1A to the Guana River Wildlife Management Areas for more public accesses to the beach.
Water shoes are a good idea
With all of the shells on this beach water shoes or sandals are really nice to have.

Low tide is the best time to visit
Low tide is our favorite time to visit since we get both the shells/ shark teeth and sandy areas.
Get tips for finding sharks teeth before you go hunting for teeth
If you’re hoping to find some sharks teeth while playing at the beach the odds are very good you will find teeth at Mickler beach. Before you start your search for Sharks teeth getting some tips can help you know what you are looking for.
