Toddler Girl Toy Guide

The toddler stage is so fun when every day is a new adventure. I love how at this stage imagination and reality are one and the same.  It’s so fun when my toddler gets excited to see her favorite characters and interact with her toys as if they are friends.

As the holidays approach I have been looking at a variety of different gift options for our 22-month-old daughter. There are so many great toddler girl toy options out there that it’s hard to decide which toys she will love the most.

Here are some toy ideas for the 18-36-month-old toddler girls in your life. #toddlergirl #giftguide #toyguide #toddler

Today I want to share with you a list of toys that are perfect for toddler girls, from 18-36 months old.  Some of these toys will be perfect for the whole toddler stage and others are for those on the older end of the toddler stage. What toys your toddler will love from this list really depends on her and what stage she is at.

My daughter though not yet 2 often acts like a 3-year-old. She has an impressive vocabulary and tries to be just like her big brother. Things like this can influence our toddler’s interests and maturity.

Toddler Girl Toys

Here are some toy ideas for the 18-36-month-old toddler girls in your life. While this list mainly focuses on toys for toddler girls many of these toys are perfect for toddler boys as well.

LeapFrog Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart – This cart is not only adorable but as your child creates tasty-looking flavor combinations they will also be practicing colors and flavors. The animal order cards help with sequencing skills and following instructions. Your toddler will love playing with this toy and won’t even realize they are learning at the same time!

Magnetic Drawing Board  Magnetic drawing boards are favorites at our house. These toys start out as the perfect place to scribble as young toddlers and then the scribbles turn into more detailed drawings and letters. This is the perfect toy to have in your purse, the car and at times kids need to be quiet. It also makes a great stocking stuffer!

Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk – My daughter is obsessed with princesses so this collection of princess dress ups is so fun. It is designed to fit size 4-6x, but since it’s skirts and shirts it’s more easily adjusted for younger wearers if needed.  Oh and don’t forget about the shoes!

Mega Bloks – There is much debate about which is better Mega Bloks or Lego Duplo. For young toddlers, I like Mega Bloks but by about 2 1/2 I switch to Lego Duplo if they really enjoy building. Check out this comparison of Mega Bloks and Lego Duplo to help you decide.

Princess Purse Set – My toddler loves purses and having the same things mommy does including keys and a phone. This fun set is perfect for toddlers and even has a few pretend makeup pieces. Another fun option would be to get an adorable backpack they can put tressures in and possibly a pretend makeup set.

Soft Body Baby Doll – This 15″ soft body baby doll has open/ close eyes and is perfect for the toddler age. This doll comes in a few different ways: as the doll, in a gift set or you can get a twin set

Doll Stroller – The doll stroller is the perfect way for your toddler to bring her “baby” with her just about everywhere. For times that a stroller won’t work consider getting a carrier backpack for the doll. Don’t forget the car seat and bed the doll is sure to need.

Frozen Disney Sing-A-Long Elsa Doll – Even though Frozen has been out for years, Elsa and her song “Let it Go” are still my toddlers and many others favorite. This fun set has a real working microphone so the little miss can sing “Let it Go” along with Elsa.

Step2 Easy Turn Coupe – Both of my kids have loved the Step2 cars during the toddler stage and even into the preschool stage.  Another fun ride on toy is a Balance Bike, this is for more independent toddlers and the perfect way for kids to start their bike journey.

VTech Kidizoom Duo Selfie Camera – If your toddler loves taking pictures with your phone or always wants a turn when you pull out your nice camera this is the perfect gift for them. This is a real working digital camera that is durable enough to handle drops and tumbles. The best part it is something that can grow with them and help them be creative and possibly discover a talent.

Little Tikes Shopping Cart – This adorable little shopping cart has a deep basket with sturdy walls to keep small items inside the cart. It also has a fold-down set perfect for a baby doll or favorite toy.

Little Tikes First Slide – This slide is a favorite toy for my almost 2-year-old and my 3 1/2-year-old. I love that it’s sturdy and folds down for compact storage and moving!

Melissa & Doug Cutting Food – These wooden play food pieces stick together and come apart with a “crunch” as kids slice them apart. This is the perfect way for kids to work on hand-eye coordination and imagination.

Step2 Best Chef’s Toy Kitchen My kids love to pretend to make me food and the Step2 kitchens are the perfect places for your toddler to cook up some delicious dishes and use her imagination as she plays.

Princess Castle Play Tent – This indoor large pink princess castle playhouse is something your toddler would love. This tent is lightweight and portable and comes with 20 feet of LED star lights.

No matter what toddler girl toy you decide to get the little miss in your life she is going to love it!
