While on our trip to Rockaway Beach we spent a morning biking around Seaside. Seaside has a typical beach town feel, with a lot of tourists.
With 12 people, we rented a 9-seater bike and a 3-seater bike. There was no way we were all fitting on one bike even if 4 of the people were little kids! Even if we could have all squished together it would have been difficult to pedal without anywhere for your legs to move.
The kids had a blast riding in the baskets in front of the bikes. The adults enjoyed the exercise too. My in-laws are a very musical family and had a wonderful time singing as we biked around town. (check out this video of the family singing on our youtube channel.)
We road along Sunset Boulevard past the grave of the unknown sailor. This grave has two makers one states “Known Only to God” the other says “Found on the Beach April 25,1965.” This grave site has an interesting store you can find more about at the dailyastorian.com.
If your visiting seaside I totally recommend renting bikes and riding around the town. It’s an awesome way to see the area and create fun memories at the same time.
Another fun activity we did in Seaside was search for sand dollars. The little man loved his time biking and playing in the sand. It was an great family vacation with lots of relaxing!
