Inside: Fun and easy American Flag Charcuterie snack board perfect for the 4th of July.
We love doing snack trays and charcuterie boards especially during the summer. They are perfect for snack time at home or to take to a party.

For the 4th of July we thought it would be fun to make an American Flag charcuterie board for a yummy snack.
American Flag Charcuterie
To make the American Flag charcuterie you need a rectangle base (I used my wooden cutting board) along with foods that are red, white and blue.
You can obviously use a lot of different foods to make this snack board.

I wanted to keep it simple with foods I already had on hand that my kids would eat.
There are a lot of fun options that would be great for the Flag snack board though.
Red Foods for Snack Board
- Strawberries (this is what I used)
- Cherries
- Raspberries
- Hard meats
- Cherry tomatoes
- Red candy
- Red Grapes
- Red bell pepper slices
- Twizzlers

White Food Ideas
- Apple Slices (I used slices of honey crisp apples)
- White chocolate covered pretzels
- Cubes of Mozzarella cheese
- Marshmallows (I also used these)
- Cauliflower
- Crackers
- Popcorn
- White chocolate chips
Blue Foods
- Blue berries (I used these)
- Black berries
- Blue corn chips
- Concord Grapes
- Blue wrapped candy
- Blue Raspberry gummies
Making the Flag Charcuterie
Once you decide what red, white and blue items you are going to use to make your flag charcuterie you’re ready to start putting it together.

Putting the flag together is easy and my kids loved helping make this fun patriotic snack.

I first made my blue square out of blue berries. We started small and had to make the square bigger once we saw how it looked on the board we were using.

After making the blue square we started with our red stripe of strawberries along the top, followed by the white stripe.
We used apple slices for the white stripe and instead of peeling the apples we just made sure that the red peel was along the strawberries so the white was facing the middle of the stripe.

Repeat the red and white alternating strips until you complete the flag. (obviously not as many stripes as the flag actually has)
My kids added mini marshmallows to the blue square as stars and then added some to the white stripes for fun.
We enjoyed our flag charcuterie board as a yummy snack, but it would also be perfect for a 4th of July party or BBQ.
