Silly String Gender Reveal

Ever since I found out we were pregnant with baby three I have been trying to think of a fun way to announce the pregnancy and do a gender reveal.

Well, we announced the pregnancy a few weeks ago and I love how those photos turned out. For our gender reveal I knew I wanted to include the kids in sharing, so we decided to use silly string.

I know silly string has been used before and it’s not the most original idea, but I knew the kids would love it. Plus we are still in Utah and my sister-in-law (who is a wedding photographer) offered to take photos, which I knew would turn out amazing.

Silly String Gender Reveal

On Friday we had our 20-week ultrasound then headed to the dollar store to pick up some silly string.

Jared and I get too excited to wait to find out the gender, there is no way we could wait another 20 weeks after our ultrasound to find out what the gender is. (I’m impressed by y’all that wait until birth to find out!) Also we have a hard time figuring out names so having a gender always helps with that.

Luckily we were able to take photos for our gender reveal on Saturday so we didn’t wait to long to share with the kids and y’all are finding out fast too!

I know most of you aren’t even reading this post you’re just skimming to the bottom to find out what we are having and see if you guessed right.

So I guess it’s time to officially announce that baby number three is a BOY!

We are so excited to be adding another little man to the party.

Even though it looks like the soon to be big sister is upset about finding out it’s a boy she was really just upset to get silly string all over her.

With how many girls are in Jared’s family he figured one boy was all we were going to get so finding out it’s a boy is extra exciting.

So far with guessing gender I have been right twice (with the boys) and Jared has guessed right once (with the little miss). How are you at guessing what gender your baby will be? Do you do believe any of the Old Wives Tales about gender?
