It’s back to school season which means it’s a great time to stock up on school supplies, even if you don’t have kids going to school.
This time of year many stores have awesome deals on school and office supplies as well as many other household items. Now is the time to take advantage of the low prices and stock up on school and office supplies you can use at home.
What school supplies can I use at home you might ask? Oh, there are so many different school supplies you can use around the house! Let me just share a few back to school products we use almost daily.
School Supplies You Can Use at Home
#1 Scissors
Scissors always seem to disappear at our house so you can bet that I’m going to stock up in scissors both kids and regular size while I can get them on sale.
#2 Pens and Pencils
Though we live in a very digital and techie world I still seem to use pens or pencils every day. From writing down to do lists to signing a check, we always need pens and sometimes pencils around our house.
#3 Tape
I don’t use tape every day but with the holidays coming up now is a great time to buy tape for all those presents you will be wrapping.

#4 Binders
Binders are a great way to organize things so they are easy to find. We also love using a binder for our travel journal. (Now is a great time to get a pencil case to put in your travel journal!)
#5 Highlighters
I love using highlighters when I’m reading books and articles. They are also a great way for your toddler to practice tracing letters.
#6 Printer and Ink
I know a Printer and Ink might not be something you think about as back to school, but college students and teachers will need both.
So now is the time to look for a great deal on a printer or replacement ink for your home office.
#7 Paper
During the back to school season, all kinds of paper are on sale including lined, printer, and often cardstock or construction paper for the kiddos. Notebooks are also a great deal right now.
#8 Art Supplies
Anything and everything classroom art supplies are on sale. These little art supplies make great little gifts and can make doing little crafts at home with the kids so much easier.

#9 Basic Household Supplies
Because back to school also includes college students you can typically find great deals on basic household items.
I have seen some awesome deals for tissues, storage toats, towels, and even some kitchen appliances.
#10 Backpacks
Even if you don’t have kids going school backpacks can be so useful. They work great for carryons when you travel and I love using a backpack as my diaper bag.
Where to Get Back To School Supplies
There are a lot of different places where you can get school supplies a few of my favorites are Walmart, Target, Amazon and Dollar Tree.
Walmart
Walmart is my favorite place to get most of the school supply basics. Things like crayons, glue, scissors and notebooks go on sale during the back to school season and you can get great deals.

Target
My favorite back to school deals to get at Target are household supplies. They usually have great deals on “back to college” supplies. So I have found great deals on organizational items, sheets, towels, hangers, laundry baskets and more.
Amazon and Dollar Tree
Amazon and Dollar Tree are great for getting school supplies throughout the year.
They sometimes have deals for back to school but not typically as good as the deals I find at other places. So keep these two in mind for those items you buy throughout the year or you don’t find on sale.

I’m a sucker for office supplies and school supplies and I totally use all of these!
I have a hard time resisting buying all the fun things. So I just have to avoid the store or I would purchase more school supplies than we could ever use!
When I was still studying, my stuff were also being used by my mom at home. We use stickers or sometimes sticker papers to label things in the kitchen or in the cupboards. It really is convenient when there’s a student in the house HAHAHA.
Haha, so many school supplies are so useful around the house! Even though my kids aren’t in school yet, I still do some back to school shopping!
