Inside: How to make a Thanksgiving wreath using inexpensive supplies.
A couple of weeks ago I was at the dollar store and they had so many fun fall and thanksgiving craft supplies and decorations.
I decided to grab a few things to make a simple Dollar Tree Thanksgiving wreath.

This Farmhouse style Thanksgiving wreath only cost me $4 and turned out so cute. Plus it works perfectly for the whole fall season!
DIY Thanksgiving Wreath
To make this Thanksgiving wreath you only need a few supplies that you can pick up at the dollar store, Walmart or a craft store, you might even have some of these supplies on hand already.
Supplies
- Wreath Form
- Ribbon or Bow
- Jute Twine
- Metal Harvest Inspirational Words (I haven’t seen these in a few years, you can still make a fun wreath without the words)
Dollar Tree Thanksgiving Wreath
This wreath is really easy to put together and only takes about 20 minutes.
Wrap Wreath in Twine
First, get your wreath form (I used the 14-inch metal wreath form but you could use the other size forms) and tie the twine to the middle of one of the metal circles. Then start wrapping the twine around the form.
Continue wrapping twine until the whole form is covered. Make sure to push the twine together on the form so that it is tight and totally covered.
Once the whole wreath form is covered it’s time to add the fun fall touches to your wreath.
Add the “Extras”
You can add a few flowers, metal words, a bow or anything else you want to make this Thanksgiving wreath.
I picked one of the metal words to use. I chose to use Thankful and used twine to tie the word to the wreath.
I tied one end of a piece of twine to each end of the word then tied the other ends to the twine on the back of the wreath. So the word would hang in the middle of the wreath.
Attach a bow to the top of your wreath. I used one of the harvest bows that come in a two-pack at dollar tree.
You could get a roll of ribbon and make your own bow or get one of the bows that are already made.
Now your wreath is ready to hang. You can use command hooks to hang your wreath on an interior or exterior door. Or you can get an over the door wreath hanger if you prefer.
Update: I haven’t seen the metal words in a couple of years, but keep an eye out at your local dollar store they may get them again. Even without the word the twine wrapped wreath with a bow is a perfect fast and inexpensive fall wreath.
