We recently visited Hersheypark for the first time! We had so much fun and can’t wait to go back and experience more of the park.

Hersheypark was created by Milton S. Hershey as leisure grounds for those working at the Hershey’s Chocolate factory. Today you don’t have to work at the Chocolate factory to enjoy this family-friendly amusement park.
The Facts
Hersheypark is made up of three different parks that are all connected and included in your admission.
The Hersheypark has coasters, rides, and attractions. This area of the park has 14 coasters
The Boardwalk at Hersheypark has 16+ water attractions, including a number of waterslides.
ZooAmerica is an 11-acre walk-thru zoo with more than 200 North American Animals.

The park first opened in 1907 with an area for picnicking and boating. The Merry-go-Round was added in July 1908. For more information about Hersheypark, history check out hersheypa.com
First impressions of Hersheypark
It’s massive! We spent almost 3 hours in the park and saw less than half of it. You definitely need more than one day to experience all this park has to offer.
Tons of Kids Rides! Since we have two toddlers, rides that the whole family can go on are a must. Hersheypark did not disappoint, they had tons to keep the kids entertained and happy.

Roller Coasters for All Ages! Our 3-year-old went on his first roller coaster and loved it. He went again and again. After 3 rides in a row, we had to convince him to go on another ride so his little sister could have some fun too.
The little miss also went on a little “roller coaster” ride on the ladybug ride. It went up and down and round and round so according to our kiddos it’s a roller coaster.
Plenty of Shade and Seating – Throughout the areas of the park we explored, we found plenty of benches and shade.
It is Clean – The park grounds and restrooms were all very clean and with designated smoking areas the park didn’t smell like smoke either.

Lines move fast – I’m not sure if it was a fluke or not but the longest we waited in line was 6 minutes. It was awesome. Many of the rides we could get off and get right back on.
A few of the kiddie rides the kids stayed on and rode 3 or 4 times since no one else was waiting in line.
Overall we loved our first experience at Hersheypark and can’t wait to go back and experience more of the park. We took the Monorail around the park and that gave us an idea of just how little of the park we saw.
Let us know your favorites so we can check them out next time we visit.
