Do you ever feel like stocking stuffers end up being mostly junk and a few treats?
I know some years the things we have put into our kid’s stockings have ended up in the trash within just a couple weeks of Christmas. So this year I wanted to change it up and put things in our stockings that we would actually enjoy and use.

Stocking Stuffers You’ll Actually Want
Some of the items are disposable products that you will use up and others are things that should last you quite a while.
I’m going to break this list down into a couple of different categories to make it easy to find ideas for those you are shopping for.
Stocking Stuffers for Kids
Some of these stocking stuffers are fun, some are practical and others are both. Not all of these ideas will work for every kid, but hopefully, they will get you thinking of Stocking stuffers your kids will actually use and enjoy!
Race Cars
Both of our kids love playing with cars so we usually put a couple of hot wheels in their stockings each year. This year I think we will be doing some of the Mario Kart Hot Wheels and getting the last few of the Disney Pixar Cars racers that we are missing.
Sing-Along Microphone
Both of my kids love the Disney sing-along microphones that have songs from their favorite shows. These microphones are the perfect size to fit in a stocking.

Small Lego Sets
Small lego sets are great for kids who love to build. The small little Lego sets that come in a little bag are perfect for fitting inside a stocking.
Fruit Snacks or Other Fun Treats
My kids love fruit snacks and we don’t let them eat them very often. So the kids get excited when we do get to have them. We found these adorable Frozen 2 Fruit Snacks that we are going to use this year.
Any treats your kid’s love and they don’t get very often works great in a stocking! Here are a few more ideas:

Good to Grow Juice
Our kids love the good to grow juice with character bottles. Every time we see them at the store the kids want to see if they have any of their favorite characters. And the best part is you can add these to your Walmart Grocery Order!
Card Games
We love playing games together as a family and card games are perfect for tucking into a Christmas stocking. There are so many card game options from old classics to fun new games.
Here are a few of our favorite card games to play as a family:
- Nuts About Mutts (Grandpa Beck’s games are some of our favorites!)
- Uno
- Old Maid
- Golf (another Grandpa Beck’s game)
- Go Fish!
- Phase 10
- Spot it! There are so many different versions of this game, I wan to get them all!
Cute Bandaids
My kids love having their own things and the 2-year-old especially loves cute bandaids for real and imagined owies. These Patch Kids bamboo bandages are cute and my daughter loves them. I love that they are enriched with Coconut Oil and natural! Plus who doesn’t love cute Panda’s?
Art Supplies
If your kids are like mine and love coloring, cutting, and creating then art supplies make great stocking stuffers.

- Scribble Scrubbies – we got a few of these when we visited the Crayola Experience in Orlando and the kids love them!)
- Crayons these mermaid and pirate crayons would be fun

Play-Doh
Mini play-doh cans or regular size ones are a fun idea for toddlers and preschoolers. Plus you could get some fun accessories too!
Lip Balm
Does anyone else get sick of their kids stealing their chapstick? If you do then include some chapstick in your kid’s stockings! There are a lot of fun options that should keep the kids from taking yours.
Stocking Stuffers for Teens and Adults
At first, I was going to do a separate category for teens but honestly, most of the items work great for both adults and teens. These ideas are pretty basic things that most teens and adults would like and actually use.
Headphones
There are a lot of different headphone options out there so you might want to check and see what type of headphones the teens/adult likes. I personally love the Bluetooth headphones.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are always fun to get so you can buy whatever you want or go out to eat. Gift cards can be for things like movie tickets, restaurants, clothing stores, travel, and pretty much anything else. We love to watch Costco for deals on gift cards.
Jewelry
All kinds of jewelry work as stocking stuffers. You could easily do a ring, necklace, watch, etc as a stocking stuffer.
Jewelry would probably be a more expensive stocking stuffer, so remember to keep it in your holiday budget!
Lip Balm
Lip Balm (aka Chapstick) is something we all tend to use during the cold winter months so add a couple sticks to your teens stocking as a useful gift.
PopSocket
Popsockets are so popular right now and they do make it so easy to hold your phone. Amazon has about a million different options to choose from, so you can easily find something for everyone on your list.
Card Game
There are so many fun card games that you can start to play as your kids hit the teenage years. Here are a few of our favorites:

- Cover Your Assets (one of my personal favorite games ever!)
- Skull King
Gloves
We love the gloves that keep your hands warm and you can leave on to use your touch screen. These make great stocking stuffers for teens and adults! See all the different options of touch screen gloves here.
Zipfizz
If you love energy drinks than Zipfizz is something you should try. It’s a healthy energy drink mix that has natural caffeine, zero sugar, and is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and electrolytes.
Jared works outside all day and the heat and cold can quickly zap his energy so he really loves these drink mixes. They are also great to take before working out or a sporting event.
Gum, treats, and snacks
Pick up some of your teen’s favorite junk food or snacks and fill their stocking with the foods they always want to eat, but you typically don’t buy for them.
