During the busy Christmas season, it can be hard to focus on the true reason we celebrate the holiday. These Names of Christ Ornaments are a great way to help remember Christ each time you look at the decorations on your tree.
Each year we have done a garland with photos of the life of Christ on our fireplace and it’s one of my favorite Christmas decorations.
This year I decided I really wanted to add in some ornaments on our tree that focus on Christ. So I made some ornaments sharing different names of Christ as well as a few using some of my favorite photos of Christ.

These ornaments are simple to make and are such a great addition to your Christmas tree.
Our Christmas tree is more rustic and cozy and I love how these farmhouse style names of Christ ornaments look on our tree.
To make these ornaments you only need a few supplies including the free printable you can get at the end of this post.
Supplies
- Craft Sticks (Popsicle Sticks)

DIY Names of Christ Ornaments
To make these ornaments the first step is staining the craft sticks. I love the darker wood stain so that’s how I stained my craft sticks.
You can stain or paint them any color you want, or you can leave them the natural color. Just decide what will look best with your other decorations.
While waiting for the stain to dry cut out the names of Christ from the printable. (print the printable on cardstock for best results) Cut on the outside of the grey square surrounding the different names of Christ.
Then using your hot glue gun attach the paper names to the stained popsicle sticks.
I like the look of attaching popsicle sticks to the sides then the top and bottom of each card. But you can mess with it and see what look you like best.
Once you have the popsicle sticks attached use ribbon or twine to make a loop on the top to hang the ornament.
I looped the twine around the popsicle sticks a couple of times and glued it in place.
The printable doesn’t include all the names of Christ but it does include several of them. Use all the cards or pick your favorites and use those.
Photos of Christ Ornaments
I also decided to use some of my favorite photos of Christ to make additional ornaments.
I got a pack of these wallet-size images of Christ, to make these ornaments. There are several different artists’ photos you can get in this size. I just really liked the images in this pack of photos.
Then I followed the same steps as above but used the pictures of Christ instead of the names of Christ printable.
These ornaments make a great addition to any Christmas tree or you could even do a whole Christ-focused Christmas tree if you want.
You could also mix in the names of Christ with the photos of Christ’s life in the Christmas garland if you want.
Names of Christ Printable
This printable list doesn’t include all of the names of Christ, you can see what names are included on the printables above.
