Inside: Free editable printable summer learning BINGO for kids a fun and easy way to keep learning going this summer.
We just finished our 6th year of homeschooling and each summer I seem to do things a little bit different.

Some years we take a total break from school while other years we do a lighter schedule.
This year to keep learning happening throughout the summer I made a fun Summer Learning Bingo board.
Summer Learning BINGO
I thought it would be fun to make a BINGO board at let the kids have choices in what they learn each day. (We will be doing daily devotional and some units all together some days in addition to this Bingo.)

Each square on has a learning activity I want the kids to complete each week.
Using the Summer Learning BINGO
You could have kids get BINGO each day if you want, I decided that they need to do a minimum of 2 squares each day (days we’re home they should do 5+ squares) and have blackout by Friday night.
I’m going to be flexible about the kids getting blackout on the weeks we have a lot going on, but the weeks we are home they should easily be able to get blackout.
Summer BINGO Reward
You could reward the kids for each Bingo or at the end of each week for a blackout. But honestly you don’t need to have a reward to use this.
I wasn’t planning on doing a reward…we we’re just doing this as a fun and different way to keep learning happening without a checklist…but then I talked to my husband.
Jared is totally the fun dad, and he thinks there should definitely be a prize each week for blackout.
We decided that if both of the kids get blackout by Friday night, we will schedule a special activity for the next week from a list of activities (think trampoline park, favorite restaurants, arcade, etc.)

Summer Learning Activities
The Bingo board activities are editable in Canva (with a free account), and you can put whatever you want in each square. I made BINGO boards for my two oldest (the younger two will be doing learning activities with me).
You can add whatever you want to focus on this summer in each square it could be regular school work, life skills or anything else you want.
Here is what I put on my kids BINGO boards:
Play Piano
We aren’t taking piano lessons this summer, but I still want the kids to play each day.
I just got each of the big kids some new piano music to keep it fun. I got a Kpop Demon Hunters book for my daughter and a Mario one for my son and they are already having fun learning new songs.
They also have the option to find a song on Hoffman Academy to learn if they want or they can pracitice songs they already know.
Read 20 Minutes
Read 20 minutes is on the board 5 times and something the kids need to do every day. They can only mark off one read 20 minutes square each day.
We are also doing several fun Summer Reading Rewards programs to help the kids read a minimum of 20 minutes each day.

Spelling
I’m having the kids use The Good and the Beautiful Simply Spelling to practice spelling this summer. I’ve included this on the board twice so they practice a couple of times each week.
Prodigy Math
The kids have been having fun practicing their math skills with this computer game so we’re going to continue that this summer.
There is a free version and you get teacher stats about what the kids are learning which is really nice. (You can also assign skills for them to practice!)
Typing
I’m letting the kids choose which of the free typing programs they want to use this summer. Honestly, they will probably switch between them.
Both of the free typing programs we’ve tried are included in this post of Free Homeschool Resources We Love!
Art for Kids Hub
My kids love following the drawing tutorials on Art for Kid Hub so of course that had to be a square on our Summer Learning Bingo.

Stack the States
I’m letting the kids pick what activities they want to do on the Stack the States 2 app. Most of the time they pick to place the states on the map but sometimes they choose one of the other activities.

LA Lesson
One of my kids is still working on the last few lessons of LA before going onto the next level and the other is ready to start a new level. They will each do one lesson a week from where they are at.
Math Lesson
Just like with Math the kids will do a lesson continuing on with their current/new math level.
Journal
We have been using these 365 Kids Journals a few times a week for over a year. It’s a fun way to journal and practice handwriting.
Prodigy LA
We haven’t tried Prodigy LA yet so the kids are going to give it a try this summer and we will see what we think.
Coding
The kids will continue learning Coding with the free classes on Code.org. This is included in one square on their bingo, but they can do it more often if they would like.
Help Cook Dinner
Summer is the perfect time to practice life skills, so I decided to include helping with dinner as a square.
The kids also do jobs (with these job charts) and we add life skills into our family learning.
Play A Board Game
We love playing board games, but the summer can get busy and we don’t play them as often as I would like. By adding it as a square on each of the big kids bingo board, we should play one or two games each week.

Printing Summer Learning BINGO
I printed our summer learning BINGO on colored paper (not cardstock) but you could definitely do cardstock if you wanted. I laminated our BINGO pages so that the kids can mark the square with a washable marker and we could reuse them all summer.
