At the beginning of a new school year, (usually during the first week of school) many preschool and kindergarten classes will do a unit typically called “all about me”. (Sometimes even first grade and second-grade classes will also do this unit)
This unit is a great way for teachers to get to know their students a little bit more and a fun way for kids to document the things they like.
An all about me worksheet or questionnaire depending on what you want to call it is usually part of the all about me unit. The worksheet has questions like what’s your favorite color, birthday, favorite foods, etc.
Not only is the all about me worksheet the perfect back-to-school activity to include in your lesson plans, but it’s also fun to do at home with younger kids, on your child’s birthday, or as a family.

I love having my kids do this all about me worksheet each year and adding it to their journals. Not only do we have fun filling out the questionnaire together since they are young, but they are such great keepsakes to look back on as the kids grow. I love seeing how my kid’s answers and their handwriting change each year.
