Can you believe it’s a new year and a new decade? I have to say that 2019 was a challenging year for our family. We had a lot of growing experiences and luckily we were able to travel in the mix of everything else. There were some awesome places we visited this year many for the first time.

Our travels in 2019 were on the east coast, a lot of them in Florida. We were able to cross off a few bucket list items and visit some new places this year.
Top 10 Places We Visited in 2019
Here are the top 10 places we visited in no particular order.
Magic Kingdom
We spent 2 days this year at the Magic Kingdom and it was so much fun. This wasn’t our first time visiting Disney World, but it’s the first time our kids really remember it.

We had so much fun at the Magic Kingdom this year we tried some amazing foods at the park and found out a few things we wish we would have known sooner.
Castillo De San Marcos
The Castillo De San Marcos is the only extant 17th-century military construction in the country and it’s the oldest masonry fortress in the United States.

The Castillo De San Marcos is located in St. Augustine Florida. It’s a very interesting place to visit with tons of information about the history of that area in Florida.
If you’re visiting with kids try to make it to a reenactment and don’t forget about the Jr. Ranger Program.
Mickler Beach
While we were living in Florida for a few months this year Mickler Beach and the beaches along the Guana River Wildlife Management Are quickly became one of our favorite places to spend the day.

We loved soaking up the sun, hunting for shells and sharks teeth as well as riding the waves.

Legoland Florida
Last year had Legoland Florida season passes so we got to visit the park a lot. The kids loved and it was seriously the perfect size park for little people.

Epcot
Epcot has been on my bucket list for a long time and finally this summer we spent a day at Disney World’s Epcot Park. We got to see Elsa and Anna which was a total highlight for our 2-year-old. We also tried a ton of new food.

If Epcot is on your bucket list you need to check out this post detailing how we ate around the world showcase at Epcot for $100 as a family of 4.
Mount Airy, North Carolina
Ok so most of you have probably never heard of Mount Airy North Carolina but it’s a really fun small town to visit. If you have ever watched the old classic Andy Griffith TV show you need to add this little town to your bucket list.

Visiting Mount Airy you get to experience some small-town Andy Griffith charm. Including the courthouse and Darlin cabin.

Hershey’s Chocolate World
We visited Hershey’s Chocolate World a few times this year and the kids love the chocolate ride.

Though we didn’t visit Hershey’s Chocolate World for the first time this year it made the list because it’s a fun place to visit, it’s free and our kids constantly ask to go back on the chocolate ride.
Knoebels
Knoebels has been a family favorite since our first trip when the little man was just a baby. We didn’t think we would make it to our annual camping trip at Knoebels in 2019 but luckily we were able to make the trip.

Knoebels is such a fun place to go camping as a family and there are so many fun things to do and foods to try. Read more about Knoebels here.
Harpers Ferry
Harpers Ferry National Historic Park is one of our favorite places to take people when they come to visit. The historic town is so cute and it’s such a fun place to explore.

World of Coca Cola
We ended the year with a day at the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia. The lines were crazy long but if you love Coca Cola products it’s a really fun place to visit.

We all loved trying all of the different types of Coca Cola drinks. Read more about our day at the World of Coca Cola in this post.
2019 brought a lot of changes for our family and 2 moves, luckily we didn’t let all the changes stop us from enjoying places we visited in our travels.
We have several trips planned and are excited to see what places we visit in 2020.
What places are you hoping to visit this year?
